Nashville (July 24, 2020) – State Senator Kerry Roberts (R-Springfield) has achieved a 100% small business voting record from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) for the 2019-2020 legislative sessions.

“NFIB thanks Senator Roberts for supporting key small business bills that were presented on the Senate floor in 2019 and 2020,” NFIB Tennessee State Director Jim Brown said. “Kerry Roberts was a perfect eight for eight on those votes, a very strong record of supporting independent businesses in his district and statewide.”

Roberts voted with small businesses on important issues including tax, tort, labor, regulatory and healthcare reforms.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our state’s economy, and I am proud to stand with Tennessee small businesses,” said Roberts. “During these challenging economic times it is extremely important for the General Assembly to continue to prioritize a business friendly environment that allows small businesses to thrive. I will remain committed to opposing needless regulation and burdensome taxation of businesses.”
